Coronado, Cocoa, and Clean Surf: 2025 URT SPOOK RECAP

We loved seeing everyone at the URT SPOOK last Sunday evening.  We had over 150 surfers and spectators at Coronado's South Beach bringing their best Halloween spirit.  The costumes ranged from spooky ghosts and monsters to Darth Vader and Spider Man.  Although the water was chilly, the surf was clean and fun.

As Ian URT describes the event, "For us, the URT Spook is about more than surfing in costumes.  It's about celebrating this community that supports us all year long.  We love seeing neighbors, families, and friends come together at the beach."

Big thanks to Heave Ho Coffee Roasters who kept everyone warm with their complimentary hot cocoa.  Also, big hand to Tiffany Lektorich and Lauren Shuffett of Park Life Real Estate who hosted a costume exchange and kid's activities on the sand.  Gift cards to local favorite Mexican Takeout were rewarded to the best-dressed surfers, but as usual the real prize was the laughter and stoke shared by the Coronado community.

Big thanks for everyone coming out to this year's Halloween event, and we look forward to our next surfing event, the Santa Surf Off!
