We came.  We saw.  We WOMPed.  This year's WOMP, Southern California's premiere body surfing competition, went off with some stellar performances and good times all around.  If you missed the event, there's three key factors you need to know about the WOMP:

Last man standing: Each round starts out with competitors attempting to be the last man standing atop a floating island out just past the breakers.  Winner is awarded two extra points

The WOMP: Quality over quantity.  Hold out for those good waves, set it off with style, and wow those judges with your ability to act like a human torpedo in the

Party Wave: Each heat ends with all the competitors riding the same wave back in to shore, whoever takes it in the furthest wins an additional two points.
