The Garibaldi, the California state fish, is a protected species....and it knows it. 

If you've spent anytime underwater in California you've seen this pompous, belligerently Napoleonic fish. Its personality can be defined in 2 parts: part ignoramus and part asshole. 

As a spearfisherman, you will watch dumbfounded as this fish swaggers up to your spear tip and flexes in defiance as if daring you to pull the trigger. 

Harming a Garibaldi fish is punishable with a five hundred dollar fine, and if anything this fish thinks he's undervalued.
